We’ve already had our fair share of stellar performances in the NBA Playoffs this year and with Game 3 of the semi-finals now on the horizon in each series, it is likely we will get more over the coming weekend.
The four matches are poised either all square, or with one team with a comfortable 2-0 lead and in truth, those score lines are entirely representative of how each series has gone thus far.
With the Brooklyn Nets eliminated and the Los Angeles Lakers not even making the playoffs, there is a real chance for one of the lesser fancied teams at the start of the NBA season to win it all this year.
Let’s now preview each of the Game 3 Conference Semi Final games coming up in the NBA this weekend, with a quick recap of how the first two games of the series have gone and a look ahead to who may land the wins this weekend, and at what odds (with prices shown from FanDuel Sportsbook).

NBA Playoffs Conference Semi Finals
Miami Heat @ Philadelphia 76ers (Heat Lead Series 2-0)
Miami have taken complete control of this game, winning both their games on home
TORONTO, ON – APRIL 20: Joel Embiid #21 of the Philadelphia 76ers is defended by Pascal Siakam #43 and Gary Trent Jr. #33 of the Toronto Raptors in the first half of Game Three of the Eastern Conference First Round at Scotiabank Arena on April 20, 2022 in Toronto, Canada. court against a Philadelphia 76ers team that have struggled without the injured big man Joel Embiid.
In his absence the heat have strolled to 14 and 16-point victories in the first two games and with no sign Embiid is yet ready to return, and James Harden as yet not able to carry the 76ers in the same way, things are looking a little bleak for the 76ers right now.
Home court for the next two games could help them here, but I think Embiid has to return if not in Game 3 then certainly in Game 4 if the 76ers are to stand any chance and even then, I think the odds are really stacked against them.
Don’t be too surprised if Miami can wrap this series up in four games.
Moneyline Odds For Game 3 – Heat -148, 76ers +126
Phoenix Suns @ Dallas Mavericks (Suns Lead Series 2-0)
Phoenix have dominated this series thus far and despite a troublesome final quarter
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – APRIL 28: Luka Doncic #77 of the Dallas Mavericks drives past Royce O’Neale #23 of the Utah Jazz during the first half of Game 6 of the Western Conference First Round Playoffs at Vivint Smart Home Arena on April 28, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah. in the first game, where the Mavericks attempted a comeback, the top team in the NBA regular season has been in top form in this series.
Devin Booker put up 30 points in the second game of the series, a 129-109 win for the Suns, with Chris Paul adding 28 points.
The Mavericks were once again reliant on Luka Doncic for the majority of their points, the Slovenian ace scoring 35 in defeat, but it is clear that the Mavericks need to get him more support if they are going to challenge the very top teams in the NBA.
Dallas needs to win game 3 of this series to make this a challenge for the Suns but if they don’t, then this series could well be over in four. I feel that a Suns win in Game 3 is a more likely scenario.

Boston Celtics @ Milwaukee Bucks (Series Tied 1-1)
After the Bucks took the opening game in this series, the Boston Celtics bounced

back with a comfortable victory in the second game to level things up heading into two games in Milwaukee.
Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Grant Williams all scored over 20 points in that impressive win for the Celtics, who managed to do what few teams have done in recent times and that is keep Giannis Antetokounmpo quiet.
The Greek Freak still hit 28 points in that defeat and he will be a different prospect on his home court but he is going to need a bit more support from his team mates against a Celtics team whose defense has been rock solid for the last half of the season.
This is the series which, for me at least, could go right down to the final game of the series and it should be a cracker.
Moneyline Odds For Game 3 – Celtics +120, Bucks -142
Memphis Grizzlies @ Golden State Warriors (Series Tied 1-1)
Two powerhouses of scoring headlined this series, with Ja Morant and Steph Curry
MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE – MAY 03: Ja Morant #12 of the Memphis Grizzlies takes a shot against Draymond Green #23 of the Golden State Warriors during Game Two of the Western Conference Semifinals of the NBA Playoffs at FedExForum on May 03, 2022 in Memphis, Tennessee. likely to be their respective teams main influence, but the emergence of Jordan Poole for the Warriors in recent months has been an added bonus for the Bay area team.
However, the second-seed Grizzlies have arguably the most in form player in the NBA right now after Ja Morant put up another huge score in game 2, hitting 47 points as he took it upon himself to bring the Grizzlies level after missing a lay-up in Game 1 that would have won the game for Memphis.
That said, with two home games to come now, the Warriors will be happy to be moving back to home court where they have an excellent record this season and if Poole and Curry can continue to produce the goods, then the Warriors will be confident of landing what could be key wins in the next two games.
